Back Pain – The Top Four Common Causes

3.) Compression Fractures – Compression fractures are more prevalent in postmenopausal women who have osteoporosis and in men and women who have taken long term corticosteroid treatments.

4.) Stress – You state of mind has an influence on all aspects of your life including your well being. Those who experience depression and are under high stress tend to have more acute back pain than others.

The list above represents only the most common causes of back pain but is not exhaustive. There are other less common causes such as joint inflammation, bacterial infection, tumors and others.
